Pre-season #3

The big FPL news you might've missed this week ⚽

This is the week where withdrawals start to kick in. We feel it too. The honeymoon phase has passed, and the part of you that thought "actually, my life is alright without FPL" grows quieter and quieter with each football-less day that passes.Cold sweats, palpitations, that strange rash on your inner thigh that you've affectionately named "Marcus". For all that it tries, the Nations League cannot hope to quell these symptoms. You need the Premier League.Well, next week you'll have fixtures: the first stitch in what will soon be a whole tapestry of footballing delight. If June 16th isn't in your diary yet, set it aside. Maybe take a day off work for it. The planning starts soon. The transfer window opened on Friday. Here's what's happened:The Stuff We Know 📢- Nottingham Forest's play-off hero Brice Samba will not renew his contract with the club and wants to leave this summer. That could rule out a tasty-looking budget goalkeeper for next season, unless he joins another Premier League club.- Fraser Forster has officially joined Spurs, leaving Southampton on a free.

- after a loan spell with Newcastle, Matt Targett has now signed for the Magpies, with the deal reported to be worth around £15m for Villa.

- having agreed personal terms, Leeds have officially signed RB Salzberg defender Rasmus Kristensen. The feeling from Leeds fans is that he will get plenty of game time.

- Liverpool have reached a "verbal agreement" with Benfica over the €80m signing of Darwin Núñez. Last season he scored - wait for this - 26 goals in 27 Liga appearances. Not too shabby. Apparently he's waiting for his flight to come to England...let's hope he's not flying with WizzAir, otherwise he might not make Gameweek 1.
