Gameweek 7 is here, and the big decisions are around Wildcards, Bench Boosts, and captaincy.

Here are the key points to keep in mind before the deadline:

Roll a transfer if you Wildcarded in GW6.

Most GW6 Wildcard squads are well set up for this week. Rolling gives you the flexibility to quickly move for Salah or Palmer once fixtures swing.

Non-Wildcarders should prioritise Arsenal.

Their run is excellent, and cover looks essential. Gabriel (if fit) is the standout defensive pick, Raya is a safe goalkeeper option, and Gyökeres looks the most dependable forward.

Bench Boost depends on Gabriel.

If he’s fit, GW7 offers one of the cleaner low-risk windows to activate the chip, provided you have 15 solid starters (like most GW6 Wildcarders do). If he’s ruled out or if the BB takes major surgery to set up, wait.

Wildcard threshold is lower this year.

Thanks to the extra free transfers during AFCON, it makes sense to Wildcard now if your squad is weak. A one-week hit rarely pays off if you’re planning to WC in GW8/9 anyway.

Key must-haves.

Raya, Gabriel (if fit), Senesi, and Reijnders all offer strong value. Haaland is untouchable in this form.

Captaincy stays with Haaland.

Bruno is tempting, but the uncertainty over penalties tips the balance. Haaland’s form and ownership make him the safest call.

Richarlison owners beware.

Back-to-back 90s and UCL minutes raise doubts about his start. Enough of a red flag to reconsider Bench Boosting with him.
