🤯 Doubles and blanks explained 🤝
An unscheduled, quick email about what the hell is going on right now.
What is happening in FPL?
Things are getting more confusing than one of Pep's tactical briefings.
Testament to this confusion is Ben Crellin's current fixture planner, which is starting to look less like a spreadsheet and more like a Jackson Pollock painting.
Wtf?
Don't worry. This is a quick bonus email that will attempt to explain everything we know in the simplest of terms - no whiteboard needed (sorry Pep).
But first, we'd love to hear your thoughts:
Would you leave the official FPL game if a better alternative came along?(Bonus points if you can tell us what you'd improve) |
Gameweek 20 explained
Here are the teams who are doubling in Gameweek 20:
Okay. That's it. Here's the whole fixture list:
What's happening after Gameweek 20?
We don't know yet. Twitter is rife with speculation about who's doubling and blanking, but it doesn't matter yet, because nothing has been confirmed. Don't worry about who may or may not be doubling yet.
We should learn more later this week, so you'll be updated in the 24h-before-the-deadline email on Thursday.
What happened in the FA Cup?
Here's a super quick run-down of the big stuff that's happened in the FA Cup so far (Arsenal play tonight):
⚽️ Darwin scored. It was a lovely goal too.
🤕 Mount returned from injury against City. He'll be fit for Fulham.
🔥 Mahrez was on fire - he scored a penalty and a direct Free Kick.
🪑 Haaland and De Bruyne sat out in the game against Chelsea.
📈 Rashford took a penalty with Fernandes still on the pitch and nailed it.
What happened in Gameweek 19?
🟨 Mitrovic got booked, meaning he misses Fulham's second GW19 match against Chelsea.
🔄 Walker and Cancelo were subbed at half time.
🤕 Van Dijk is out for up to a month.
🚀 Gakpo trained with Liverpool for the first time
🤦♂️ Sterling went off with an injury after 4 minutes.
Now you're caught up.
Right - I promised this would be short and heck, I'm never one to break a promise. I'll leave you with a bonus piece of Mahrez-induced insight, courtesy of Reddit:
One to think about?
See you on Thursday where we'll get deep into what's what.
