Gameweek 28 FPL Tips in 5 Minutes ⏰

If you're wondering why your mini-league rivals are suddenly talking about players like Ryan Fraser and Oriel Romeu, it's because Gameweek 28 is a Double Gameweek. That means some teams (eight in this case) will have two fixtures before the Gameweek 29 deadline. Those eight teams are:Norwich - Brentford (H) and Chelsea (H)Chelsea - Burnley (A) and Norwich (A)Southampton - Aston Villa (A) and Newcastle (H)Newcastle - Brighton (H) and Southampton (A)Wolves - Crystal Palace (H) and Watford (H)Watford - Arsenal (H) and Wolves (A)Leeds - Leicester (A) and Aston Villa (H)Aston Villa - Southampton (H) and Leeds (A)Conveniently, they all play their second fixture on the evening of Thursday 10th March. Wolves, Southampton, Chelsea and Newcastle players are all popular, particularly for those managers playing their Wildcard (and there are plenty of them this week).Newcastle will also have a Double Gameweek in Gameweek 29, so if you can stomach spending money on them, they'll get you four fixtures for the price of two. A word to the wise: their defence has massively improved over the last four gameweeks.Elsewhere, Leeds have a new manager now (Jesse Marsch), Roman Abramovich is selling Chelsea and Spurs are out of the FA Cup.Now that you're in the know, let's take a look at some stats.

There is no obvious FPL captain this week, which makes things interesting.
Many are picking a player with a Double Gameweek. Coutinho (Villa), Raphinha (Leeds), Mount (Chelsea), James (Chelsea), and Jimenez (Wolves) will all be popular choices.Others are sticking the armband on Mo Salah, who has historically prospered against West Ham (he has more goals against them than any other Premier League opponent). He is the most popular of the "singles", which basically makes him the opposite to me on Tinder.Believe it or not, we enjoy playing FPL, which means 180 minutes' worth of captaincy always trumps 90 minutes. For that reason, we're going for Raphinha. He's almost certain to play in both games, assumes penalty duties and will play a porous Leicester and Aston Villa.
