It’s Wildcard season in Fantasy Premier League!
Gameweek 6 has long been highlighted as the point where many FPL managers would hit the Wildcard to reshape their squads.
That decision has been made easier not just by Erling Haaland’s recent form, but also by having five full gameweeks of data to guide us.
Our good friend Bakar has pulled the trigger on his Wildcard, and he’s here to share his first draft along with some early thoughts.
Over to you, Bakar…
Bakar’s First Draft

Goalkeepers
Raya stands out as an ideal set-and-forget option, locked into an elite Arsenal defence that has strong clean sheet potential. Alongside him, Dubravka is the only starting ÂŁ4.0m goalkeeper, providing essential cover at the lowest price point.
Defenders
Gabriel is included early to be ready for Arsenal’s excellent run of fixtures from GW7 onwards.
Gvardiol, with steady minutes in City’s backline, offers reliability and access to their clean sheet potential.
Both Senesi and Andersen are defensive contributions beasts, delivering consistent baseline points while still offering clean sheet upside.
Rodon, priced at ÂŁ4.0m, rotates well with the rest of the defence and provides decent defensive contributions too.
Midfielders
Fernandes is a standout with penalties, set pieces, 90-minute reliability and multiple routes to points.
Semenyo looks like a great value pick, nailed, and even on penalties.
Ndiaye brings minutes, security and potential penalty duties.
Reijnders provides a budget route into City’s attack, while Stach is a nailed cheap option on set pieces for Leeds.
Forwards
Haaland is essential for captaincy in the coming weeks.
Gyökeres emerges as Arsenal’s most dependable attacking option for their fixture run, while João Pedro offers value in a tricky price bracket.
