As we approach Gameweek 15, the landscape is becoming clearer. Strong fixture runs, reliable minutes, and standout form are beginning to separate the essential picks from the rest. Here are five players who look well placed to deliver returns this week.
Erling Haaland
I think this one is easy. Haaland remains essential. His explosive potential, penalty duties and remarkable consistency make him the foundation of every squad.
He is again the optimal captain by some distance, and with Manchester City ina strong attacking rhythm, his ceiling remains unmatched. A home fixture adds further appeal.
Phil Foden
Foden seems too good to ignore at the moment. His minutes are as secure as they have ever been, and he has produced four goals in his previous two starts.
With Manchester City entering a fantastic run of fixtures, Foden looks like a priority transfer for anyone who does not already own him. His confidence and involvement in the final third are both surging.
Nico O’Reilly
O’Reilly is clearly ahead of Ait Nouri in the pecking order, and with Ait Nouri heading off to AFCON soon, his security of minutes only improves. He has already delivered four attacking returns this season and offers points potential at both ends of the pitch.
Manchester City also have a very healthy 49% chance of keeping a clean sheet this week, the highest in the league, which strengthens his case as a defensive pick with added attacking upside.
Bruno Fernandes
Having at least one Manchester United attacker for the upcoming fixture run is sensible. Fernandes remains the most dependable route into their attack, especially with Mbeumo leaving for AFCON soon.
Wolves continue to be a side worth targeting due to their poor defensive form, and Fernandes’ combination of penalties, creativity and bonus appeal makes him a strong pick for Gameweek 15.
Yankuba Minteh
Minteh looks like the only Brighton attacker fully secure for minutes and offers a promising price point. Brighton tend to perform well at home, and West Ham remain a defence worth targeting given their recent struggles.
Minteh’s pace, directness and underlying threat make him one of the best mid-priced midfield options available.
